Looking for Child Care in Santa Cruz County?

The Child Development Resource Center offers FREE referrals to a variety of child care facilities in Santa Cruz County. (If you need child care in another California county, visit California Childcare Resource and Referral Network to find your local child care resource and referral agency, or call us at 831/466-5820.)

  • Your request for child care referrals will be processed within two business days.
  • CDRC Switchboard staff will match your family’s needs to the providers available in the geographic area requested using the data you provide on the form below.
  • The Switchboard maintains information on licensed family child care providers and child care centers. We also have a list of license-exempt providers, including TrustLine, before & after school programs, parent co-ops, and license-exempt child care centers.
  • CDRC staff is available to answer your questions about how to find quality child care or how to interview child care providers. Please call us with your questions.
There are several ways to receive child care referrals.
  • You may call the CDRC Child Care Switchboard at 831/466-5820 or 831/763-8725 to speak with a Referral Specialist.
  • You may download the referral form, print it, fill it out, and fax your information to us at 831/466-5846.
  • You may complete an online referral form and click "Submit Request" to send us your information. Please be sure to include any additional information you think we should know in order to provide referrals that best fit your family’s needs.
  • Note:
    The information in the Child Care Switchboard referral files is provided by each provider. The CDRC cannot guarantee that any particular piece of information remains accurate as of any particular date. The provision of information does not constitute an endorsement of the facility, nor should any endorsement be inferred from the fact that any facility is listed with CDRC. CDRC makes NO WARRANTIES and NO REPRESENTATIONS, expressed or implied, about the quality of any facility or the suitability of any program. You may need to visit several providers to determine which is best for your family.
